Your children’s safety is and should be the biggest concern for any parent. Some of this responsibility falls on the manufacturers of children’s products and toys with the standards put in place by law but most of this responsibility still falls to the parents. There are many things that can go wrong in a matter of seconds but for the most part these things can be avoided for those parents who have the knowledge of these possible problems.
For instance magnets can be very dangerous if swallowed. They can stick together in a child stomach and cause serious problems or worse. That’s not to say that children shouldn’t play with toys that contain magnets because they can be very fun and help out with learning it just means maybe some more care should be taken by parents. Check the toys frequently to make sure the magnets are still secure and keep away from little ones who will eat them. Seems like just common sense I’m sure but even the most attentive parents have to go to the washroom or take care dinner etc. Just be aware….it can make all the difference.
This is just my example of a safety issue but I know there are many more. This info is available to anyone and I hope concerned parents will take time to check it out. I’ve included a link to a website below that has safety info, stories, and links to government laws etc. Please check it out.
